“The entrepreneurial climate in St Louis is excellent.” says Eddie Davis, head of The Center for the Acceleration of African-American Business (CAAAB)  “The problem is African American business owners aren’t as aware as they should be of the assistance they can receive, and grant opportunities available to them here in St Louis.”

CAAAB is a non-profit civic organization established to support growth and development of businesses owned by minority populations, primarily African Americans. The Center’s goal is to advance economic development in the St. Louis area by elevating the status of Black businesses and their workforce.

CAAAB is designed to bridge the knowledge gap of new business owners from having a mere ‘desire’ to be successful, to nurturing in them the actual ‘ability’ to become a success.

“My company is involved with a lot of the institutions and organizations that offer business grants and assistance programs.  Our goal is to disseminate these resources out to the community and to business owners.”  says Davis.  “This interview will help that.”
